Network-Repair-Windows-7
Windows 7 is a little more difficult to find your tools, after you get used to XP. But, there is logic there as well. Network-Repair-Windows-7 procedure below should get you acquainted with Network and Sharing Center, which is new, but really nice, once you get used to it.
To get started, you need to go to the Control Panel
Click on Start

Click on Control Panel

Then Click on Network and Sharing Center

Then click on Troubleshoot problems
From here, Windows 7 is intuitive! It assists you with troubleshooting, so click on Network Adapter, and watch what happens! It will act different, based on what problem you are having!

Even though Windows 7 takes time to learn, it is able to fix problems pretty well! I've found that it tests devices, and repair what it can. When you need to do something, it tells you what to do, better than XP did. If you click on Network adapter, now, while you are not having problems, it will tell you it could not find a problem, but you will see it run tests.
