Microsoft-Updates
Microsoft sends updates generally once a week, but has sent more than that, when they have high priority updates. These are very important, as many of these updates are for your protection from viruses, hackers, etc. I have my updates set for automatic, and recommend that all my home and home/office customers do the same.
to start the Microsoft-Updates process:
Click on Start (lower left corner of your screen)

Move your cursor to Help and support, and then left click.
You'll get the image below.

I've circled the task, that you need to click to start the Microsoft-Updates
Note: Some manufacturers have changed this page, to be "Their page", but the MS Update Process is there somewhere!
Once you have clicked on update process, then you will get the image below.

Now click on Express
You will get a list of updates to be installed ( there is usually something there, and if you did not have Automatic Intalls checked, you could have a lot!

Below is a progess window, showing an update being installed.
Once the update is complete, you will need to reboot for the update to finish. You could wait until a later time, but what the heck! Why not now?
After you complete your update, you should do the whole process again, to make sure there aren't more to install, especially if you did not have automatic turned on!
