Dual-Monitors

Dual Monitors

Dual monitor setup: Two monitors are better than one - from Microsoft.

Dual Monitors

My wife and I have separate computers, because we both spend many hours on our computer, so sharing is not practical. We also have dual monitors on each setup! Once, you've learned to use dual monitors, you won't want to go back to just one!

What you need:

  • One more monitor -

I bought mine on-line for under $70, it was refurbished, and it works great. I bought it from TigerDirect...... Monitors - from TigerDirect

  • Video Port on your computer see Video Cards for more info.

Most standard computers have only one port built(see below)into the computer. Most desktop computers have room to add another video card. Installing a video card is a modestly difficult (or easy) depending on your skills. I hate to say this, but my sons and my grandchildren can do this, but most of my customers probably couldn't! Don't you just love then little @#* kids!

The cost for dual monitors is modest, for $35-50, you can buy a video card, and then there is the price to install.

Computer Case Back

In the above image, there is only one (DB15) VGA connector - see Video Connections for details.

I hope this helps! If it is too complicated see ... Computer Support
