Determine-CPU-Speed

Many systems have information printed on the front of the System Unit, and some people can readily place their hands on the purchase invoice. This can have the information ( unless your system was upgraded!

The simplest (and surest) way to Determine-CPU-Speed is go to the following:
 
Click on                       Start  (bottom left corner of your desktop)

Right Click on              My Computer

Click on                       Properties

You’ll get the next image

System Properties

 

As you can see, this system is a Dual Core Processor 4200+ ( 2.21 Ghz times 2)  with 896MB Ram   ( Actually 1 Ghz RAM, with 128MB shared with video).

By using this method, you will get the current processor speed, even if it was upgraded since you bought the system unit.
