Copy-Pictures-to-CD

I am frequentlyasked how to copy pictures to CD's. Customers want to save their pictures, to avoid loss, in the event of a computer failure, and sometimes want to give a copy to friends or relatives! This procedure give easy to follow steps to Copy-Pictures-to-CD.

A common requirement is to back up files, such as My Documents and/or My Pictures

Pictures are often less than the capacity of a blank CD, whereas My Documents is often much larger.

To copy pictures to CD, do the following steps.

To determine if My Pictures will fit onto one CD:

Click on Start Button (lower left corner of your acreen.

Right Click on MY Pictures folder

My Pictures - Properties

Click on Properties

My Pictures Properties

As you can see, this image shows that it is 140MB, which will fit on one CD. (CD will hold approx 650 MB)

OK! So it will fit!

Next, right click again on My Pictures

but this time, click on Send To

My Pictures Send To

This will take a few minutes to complete.

Once that completes, then double click on My Computer

My Computer - Devices

Then Double-Click on your CD Drive

CD Drive -Ready to write

Last - Click on write these files to CD. You will get a "wizard", to complete the write procedure to the CD.
