Many of my customers have asked me how to Change-Desktop-Background. When I look at their background, it is often the original Windows XP background( also known as desktop wallpaper) that came with their computer, or possibly one that their kids had put on the screen.
Most of the time, they don't even know how to change to one of the default(stock) backgrounds provided by Microsoft. shown below.
Available Desktop Backgrounds
These are good desktop backgrounds (many from Microsoft) that I trust and use.

This is fun. You have a huge choice of backgrounds! Let's say you want a picture of the Wall of China
1. Go to Google.com
2. Select Images (circle in upper left
3. Type in Wall of China

4. After you select Search Images, you will get something like this:

5. On the left side of the screen, select Large images. If you use too small an image, it will appear very "grainy" on your Desktop.
6. After you select your image, make sure to display as full size.
7. Then right click on the image, then click on Set As Desktop Background

After click on Set As Desktop Backgroud, you'll get another box (see below):
I normally use Stretch ( to cover the whole screen). If you use center, then you can select a background color for the part of the screen without the picture. Experiment, to see which you like best.
